AIR Link

This project allows you to control the Amiga with any domestic InfraRed remote control. It also allows your Amiga to control any appliance which has a remote control. It accomplishes this by acting as a full InfraRed receiver and transmitter with an appropriate software suite capable of learning and transmitting InfraRed codes.
The completed AIR Link measures a tiny 60 x 40 x 15 mm in side in a stylish specially sourced box. You can see the InfraRed window on the front, pictured here. AIR Link connects to your Amiga via the provided meter long cable to the joystick port.
The full kit of parts to build your own unit with CU Amiga cover mounted PCB is available for £14.95 in the UK or £15.85 Internationally.
Alternatively, the fully built and tested AIR Link is also available for £24.95 in the UK or £25.85 Internationally. These prices include tax and postage. This project will be reviewed in Nov issue of the Magazine with kits or completed units being available from the end of September.

How To Order
The November issue features a cover mounted Printed Circuit Board (PCB) in addition to cover disk floppy disks or CD-ROM containing the software. The DIY section of the magazine details construction of the project which is firmly aimed to ease construction unlike CU Amiga more prior more advanced unit, Project XG.
Constructing AIR Link requires a soldering iron and a kit of parts. Both of these are available from ACL. Alternatively one may purchase a fully built unit. CU Amiga construction tutorial covers basic soldering and electronic construction technique as it's simple enough to act as a first project. See the November issue of CU Amiga for more details on AIR Link. The November issue is on sale from the 15th of October at all good newsagents.
