Let me first of all allay any fears you may have. ACL will provide all the technical
know-how in order to get your company on the internet. You don't even need a computer or
connection to the Internet. We will guide you through all the steps required to create a
good looking and interesting Internet brochure. The only input we need from yourselves is
the information, photographs & logos to be included on the pages !
Step 1 - Your Company Name On The Internet
Cost £ 140.00 ( annual charge ).
It is preferable to have your own unique name on the Internet (usually your company name).
This is the name that a client would enter to access your home page, brochure or
catalogue. An example would of course be ACL. In order to view our brochure a client
enters 'ACL.CO.UK'. This keeps it simple and easily remembered.
The costs here are not levied by ourselves.
Step 2 - Your Internet Brochure, Catalogue or Home Page
Cost £ 5.00 per page per month approx.,( Discounts for multiple
pages. Initial one off design costs extra).
Your pages can include any variety of information. Text, pictures logos etc can all be
included. The internet is also a good medium to provide technical support to clients. Any
information you would expect to see in a printed brochure can be included on your Internet
brochure. In addition other features can be added to an Internet page. These include Icons
( buttons ) that the user simply presses to activate that feature. Good examples of this
are buttons which allow the user to request additional information from your sales
department, or to 'ONLINE' orders from yourselves.
Step 3 - 'E Mail'
Cost - £ 50 (annual charge ) for global company mail forwarding.
Although not essential E Mail is one of the best features of the Internet. They are like
any letter or fax. They are received on your computer and can be viewed and/or printed. A
client sending you E Mail uses for example an 'address' like mine below. Addresses can be
more general such as SALES@ACL.CO.UK.
E Mail is fast, sometimes only taking a matter of seconds to cross the globe to your desk.
Should you decide to proceed then it is important to make a decision as soon as
possible. It takes a number of weeks to set up systems, names etc. and the costs in some
areas are likely to increase.
