It was a pleasure to welcome Mike Kane MP, Member of Parliament for Wythenshawe and Sale East, to ACL recently and give him an insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes at a local contract electronics manufacturer and, maybe more importantly, how ACL helps support the local community.

‍

We’re proud to be part of South Manchester and to contribute through skilled employment, training and development opportunities, supporting local suppliers and businesses, and community initiatives and charitable donations.

‍

Coming in the New Year we will also be launching a new apprenticeship scheme providing students from The Manchester College with the opportunity to begin a career in electronics manufacturing. Apprentices will gain valuable hands-on experience across areas including PCB assembly, electronic manufacturing, testing and quality, while learning alongside experienced industry professionals.

‍

This initiative reflects ACL’s commitment to investing in local talent and developing the next generation of skilled engineers and manufacturing professionals.

‍

Visits like Mike's are a valuable opportunity to showcase the breadth of advanced manufacturing taking place in Wythenshawe and to discuss the importance of maintaining and developing engineering and manufacturing skills within the local community.

‍

A big thank you to Mike Kane MP for taking the time to visit, meet our team and see ACL in action.

‍

Proud to manufacture in Manchester. Proud to be part of Wythenshawe.
